Well, yes! Soon, the App Store version of Qik will also be available for free (hmm…not so sure about that, but let’s trust Kevin Rose). Until now, the Qik application was only available for jailbroken iPhones. Bhaskar Roy, the Co-founder of Qik, has commented on this matter : “we are looking into having Qik be available on App Store, but at present are not sure when and how this will be happen”.

What is Qik ?

Qik is a little piece of software that lets you stream video live from your cell phone to the web, where your audience can chat back in real time to your device’s screen while you broadcast. With Qik, you can share with anyone and everyone what’s going on anywhere and everywhere you go. Click here to signup and start sharing live videos with your friends and family.

So, would you want your Qik followers to know exacly where you’re streaming from ?
